When I was a kid we had some illustrations of nuts and leaves framed in our dining room. Looking back on it, they were nothing special, but as a kid I loved them. I don't know if I was always drawn to art like that, or if seeing it piqued my interest in the style. Either way, old naturalist illustrations are pretty much the basis for everything I really enjoy about art. Please ask me to do more of it. Pretty please.
